CHURCH PLANTING PROCESS FOR NAGF USA

DECLARATION OF INTENT:

Candidate calls NAGF and declares intention to plant

LOCATION:

Candidate choose location

INTERVIEW:

The church planting committee will interview the candidate

MINISTERIAL EXPERIENCE

NAGF church planting committee ascertains candidate’s qualification.

  • Assess candidate match with area
  • NAGF approves or denies open church planting intention (Letter sent to planter)
  • Pre-launch plans begin with candidate assembling initial church planting core group not to be less than ten adults.
  • Official letter of invitation and approval for candidate to plant in designated location from NAGF given to candidate
  • Candidate presents preliminary ministry plan to NAGF (Dr. Bright Osigwe available to assist candidates in drafting an A/G recognized ministry plan format and assist candidates in drafting the ministry plan if such assistance is needed by candidate.

OPEN CHURCH

Ministry name search completed.

BOARD MEMBERS:

Three to five Board members assembled

INCORPORATION/REGISTRATION/EIN:

Church is incorporated and EIN acquired.

WEBSITE:

A website is opened and social media feeds like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram etc set up. Website must have a Pay pal button to accept donations.

LETTER HEAD:

A church letter head and logo is created.

BANK ACCOUNT:

Bank account is opened with two signatories

501C3 NON-PROFIT TAX EXEMPT

Application begins

NEW CHURCH IS READY TO LAUNCH:

Launch date is chosen as approved by NAGF, Invitation cards printed, NAGF to be involved in the big launch.

MEMBERSHIP LIST:

A membership list is created, new membership class resources printed and new members go through membership class and accepted as full members.

CHURCH PLANTING COACH

A coach from NAGF Church planting Committee is assigned to the planter, e.g., Music, Prayer, Missions, Outreach, Church growth, Knowing and reaching your community, Ministry Model, worship, Assimilation, Discipleship plan, Church budgeting, Insurance, Social Media, Finance management, Church administration, Vision casting, Vision planning are some of the lectures the Coach need to address with the planter. (Dr. Bright Osigwe is volunteering to coach) More volunteers are needed. Indicate your intention to serve as a coach is you wish to do so)

MONTHLY REPORT

Planter agrees to submit a monthly report to NAGF Church planting Board.

FINANCIAL REPORT

If NAGF is going to be involved in financing the new church plant or offering any level of support, then the planter is obligated to submit a monthly financial report to NAGF.
